This whole journey really started towards the 2nd tenure at Hannon Hill. I blah blah fucking blah.

Ha, y'know what, that cracked me up. But as I was coming to revisit this page, honestly, one of the first names that popped into my head was Wing Ming Chan. There was a short-lived period in my life when I was a full time musician, and when I came back to the Cascade gig via mStoner I took on a project I thought would be a great opportunity to stretch out and utilize Database Publishing and Web Services.
I had know idea how I was going to do it, I just knew it was possible - in theory. When I started looking for examples to start with I discovered Wing Ming Chan's thorough web services library. Fortunately enough for me it was in PHP, which is what I have the most experience in at this point.
I tracked him down about a year ago (it's Fri, Jan 16) and talked for a little bit, but his last talk at Cascade User Confrence where me mentioned "a tree based approach" really sparked an idea in my brain that I haven't been able to shake until now.
Really the main inspiration behind this was WPTux, a WordPress theme.
